Our Objectives:
MMI aspires to achieve the following specific priorities:
- To propose an objective and trusted set of unified metrics that organizations can use to make informed decisions about investing their time and resources in the metaverse.
- To advocate a common set of reporting standards that forwards the industry’s growth.
- To improve understanding of the meaning of key statistics in an objective way through the usage of context and taxonomy.
- To make it easier to quantify, track and compare meaningful statistics of multiple platforms and virtual worlds.
- To advance knowledge on issues pertaining to metaverse interoperability.

MMI carries out its mission by way of developing a nexus that is as inclusive as possible, comprising professional representatives from all constituencies that share our goals. As an independent, self regulatory body we adhere to standards of neutrality, objectivity and independence. We do not pursue our objectives using pressure or coercion rather through shared willingness and voluntary participation.
